Jamie’s Non-stop Party

I have the best family.  Honestly.

I know that many people think that, but in my case, I think it is actually true.  At Family-dom, we just win.

Case in point: this morning, I sent a text to my siblings to let them know I would be coming home for a long awaited visit and not to make a lot of plans because we were going to “party”.

Well, the actual phrase I used was “we’re gonna party like it’s 1776 and we just signed the Declaration of Independence!”

Nerdy, I know – but if you knew my family, you would not be surprised by what followed.  A *ehem* lengthy list of the ways in which we might party – as described by a bunch of nerds.

Now, my family is not perfect, although we’re pretty dang close!  We have our issues, and we argue amongst ourselves occasionally.  The important thing is that we realize the value of having  a group of people around you that know you better than anyone else, and who can never be completely separated from you.  I can sever a friendship, but no matter how hard I try, my sisters will always be my sisters.  My family knows everything that I have gone through in my life, and they know how I will react to it.  They know me, and in today’s world of pseudo relationships and arms length friendships, that’s a pretty great thing.

Now, attached for your viewing pleasure, a work of art I like to call “A Conversation Among Siblings”.  Enjoy!

You will please excuse any typos or spelling/grammar errors.  We were texting, and not really concerned with proper English.  Obviously, that’s me in the green, with my various siblings responding on the left. 😉
